Frequently asked questions
The LARQ Bottle Filtered will include one LARQ Bottle Filter and a silicone detachable carabiner.
The LARQ Bottle Filtered is a portable water filtration system that combines a high-performance Nano Zero filter technology with a seamless, low-pressure drinking experience. As you sip through the straw, our Nano Zero filter removes a range of contaminants like chlorine, lead, heavy metals, PFAS (PFOA/PFOS), mercury, cadmium, particulates, and more. (Filters are tested to NSF / ANSI 42, 53, & 401 standards by 3rd party labs). 1 LARQ Bottle Filter replaces 300 single-use water bottles!
LARQ Bottle Filtered uses Nano Zero filtration technology to remove chlorine, lead, heavy metals, PFAS/PFOS, mercury, cadmium, particulates, and more. While the LARQ Bottle PureVis uses PureVis UV-C light technology to neutralize harmful bacteria and viruses. One focuses on physically removing pollutants from water, and the other eliminates bio-contaminants in water. Our caps are interchangeable so you can use the PureVis Cap first to sanitize the water and then use our Filter Cap to remove pollutants.
17oz/500ml bottle - 14.5oz/430ml
25oz/740ml bottle - 22.5oz/670ml
The bottle is made of food-grade, 18/8 stainless steel. While the cap, straw, and filter pod are made from a combination of silicone, polypropylene, and ABS. All of these materials are food-grade and BPA-free. The Nano Zero filter is made from plant-derived, activated carbon treated with LARQ’s proprietary NanoZero process which enhances heavy metal extraction.
Yes! The LARQ Bottle Filtered Cap is interchangeable with other LARQ Bottle products.
LARQ Bottle Filtered in 17oz/500ml is suited for the LARQ Bottle PureVis in 17oz/500ml.
LARQ Bottle Filtered in 25oz/740ml is suited:
- Insulated LARQ Bottle PureVis in 25oz/740ml
- Non-insulated LARQ Bottle PureVis in 24oz/710ml
- It can fit non-insulated LARQ Bottle PureVis in 32oz/950ml but there will be a small amount of water (5%) remaining in the bottom of the bottle.
Our filters are designed to have 40% less pressure than comparable filters. It should provide a seamless, low-pressure drinking experience like drinking a smoothie.
Depending on your usage, the LARQ filter should last up to 2 months of use or filter up to 40 gallons (151 liters) of water.
Do not put the LARQ Bottle Filtered in the freezer, this may damage the vacuum seal of the bottle. The LARQ Bottle Filtered may be refrigerated but bear in mind the double-wall vacuum insulated feature of this bottle will not allow contents inside to be affected by external temperatures.
We recommend hand washing the bottle, cap, straw, and filter pod with warm water and mild soap. Before washing, please take out the filter from the filter pod.
We’d recommend giving your LARQ Bottle Filtered a rinse and wiping down the drinking spout and silicone pad every time you fill up your bottle to keep it in tip-top shape.
We’d recommend only using cold or room temperature water with the LARQ Bottle Filtered. The water should be from a potable source. Do not use with hot water.
LARQ Bottle Filters are tested to NSF standards (42, 53, and 401) to remove lead, chlorine, heavy metals, PFAS (PFOA/PFOS), and other particulates. You can view the full list here.

No. We would not recommend using the LARQ Bottle Filtered to fill up from streams. If you do want to use it in the wild, purify the water first with the PureVis cap and then use it with the LARQ Bottle Filtered! Only use it with flowing water that is clear to the eyes with no heavy sediments.
Note: Filter is intended to be used with potable (municipal tap) water only. Do not use LARQ Bottle Filtered with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before and after filtration.
